A 16-year-old girl is currently changing the world.

Greta Thunberg is the youngest nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize. Last year, Thunberg decided not to attend school on Fridays. Instead, she went on strike at the Swedish parliament, protesting against the imminent destruction of the ecosystem, possibly threatening the future of her generation. Within a year, millions of students around the globe have taken part in the #FridaysForFuture school strike for climate.

Known for her fierce sense of speech, Thunberg recently spoke at the UN Climate Summit. She criticized the world's leaders for only speaking of environmental issues and for not acting upon their commitments. She was furious at how they could focus on economic growth while only pretending to understand the urgency of environmental pollution.

It wasn't just a few speeches that made Thunberg the youngest Noble Peace Prize candidate. She had sailed on a solar-paneled yacht across the Atlantic ocean from England to New York in order to attend the UN Climate Summit. This was a firm action upon her pledge to avoid airplanes that cause massive carbon emissions.

4 years ago, Thunberg was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, making her different from others. She considers it a 'superpower' and said that it was her condition that allowed her to come up with unique ideas, such as the school climate strike. A true hero and a leader of this generation, Thunberg is October's #museofthemonth
